Safer lifting around tight access areas
Verton’s EVEREST 6 recently spent two days onsite removing and replacing a flare tip engine. The complex lift was performed with ease, controlled by one trained operator by remote control.
What made this lift especially complex was the very tight access to perform the gas engine lifts – even using taglines in this environment is difficult because of the restricted space.
Multiple dogmen are traditionally used to safely control the load and to rotate the load to the installation position. In this instance, only one remote control operator was required to do the same job.
Keeping the crew away from the load left the operation hands free and safer with no interference with the load.
Verton’s technology is intuitive, and training is straightforward to ensure operators can get back on the job faster.
